KernelDrivers.org
From KernelDrivers
This website discusses various work being done in Linux distributions to make life easier for third party driver writers. Although the ultimate goal of most Linux kernel driver authors is to have their stable driver in the mainstream Linux kernel, this isn't always possible. Sometimes, the driver has yet to be approved by the wider Linux community, other times there is a need to supply custom builds of existing drivers and override the build supplied by the kernel itself. Whatever the reason, it is a fact of life that Linux distributions need to provide a certain level of infrastructure for out-of-tree drivers. We're working together to provide a straightforward mechanism to reliably supply and maintain drivers for modern Linux distributions.
